What has been played for so many years* simply has to be a good game! And anyone who has ever set their sights on opposing kubbs can only attest to this. It’s the communication, the team spirit and the strategy that make this game so exciting and the little mistakes in between that make this game so fun. Basically it’s about bringing down the kubbs (Swedish for blocks) of the opposing team. However, the king standing in the middle may not be hit. A highly addictive and at the same time enjoyable game that brings great joy to all team members.
*This game, also known as Viking chess, is said to date from the time of the Vikings around 800 – 1000 AD. However, the oldest known kubb game was found in a 5,200-year-old Egyptian burial chamber.
- Duration: approx. 1.5 – 2.0 hours
- Participants: 4- 200 people
- Services included: provision of a kubb playing field and other game materials, supervision by experienced team guides (depending on the number of participants), illumination of the facility in the dark, roofing/rain ponchos if necessary
